Parallel Timelines is a sci-fi time travel roguelike game made in 7 days. The ship is about to explode and you are the only one left. Find the keycards and bring them to the escape shuttle before time runs out. Each time you die (or whenever you want) you can jump back in time and try again, but your past selves are there too. You lose the game if any of your past selves sees the current you.

The game was made during the 7 Day Roguelike Challenge 2026 using Godot. The game was playable after three days and after that four days were used to polish it and add graphics and sounds. It was developed by one person and three people helped with testing and design.

Controls:

  • Arrow keys or WASD - Move
  • Space - Wait one turn
  • G - Jump back in time
  • M - Mute music
  • Mouse - Use items

Tips:

  • Try to scout the map first and then plan how to get the keys.
  • You win the game when all keycards are delivered. Any of your past selves can deliver the final keycards, it doesn't need to be the current you.
  • You keep all items except keycards when you jump back in time, so you can spend time finding items and then jump back and use them.
  • Throwing keys to others who are going to the shuttle can save some time.
  • If you need to wait, use Space instead of pacing back and forth. You don't want your past selves to move unpredictably.
  • Instead of having long queues at the starting room door, you could try to find a mine and blow up the walls to open it up a bit. This may not always help depending on the ship's layout.
  • The ship's layout is symmetric and the middle top room always has two computers and the shuttle is always at middle bottom.
